5-7 Carnaby Street – Living Wall
Located in the heart of London’s Soho, this innovative mixed-use office and retail project on Carnaby Street is defined by a striking double-height roof extension and a stunning Green Wall. A key aspect of the development involved demolishing the existing top floor to address low headroom issues, making way for two additional floors with external terraces on the fifth floor and roof levels. The refurbishment extended to the existing lower floors and reception area, introducing a new rear extension with a terrace, a remodeled entrance, and updated facilities, including new restrooms. The completed project offers 13,000 sq.ft of refurbished office space, with an additional 4,500 sq.ft of new office space featuring 3.5m headroom. Throughout construction, the ground-floor retail unit occupied by Timberland remained open without disruption. Successfully completed in 2023 for Shaftesbury Capital, this project stands as an example of thoughtful design and seamless execution.
